The Remington 700 are great sporting rifles. The Remington 700 has been the hunter’s favorite for 40 years because its strong, smooth action, consistent accuracy, and classic beauty make it an unequaled value. Its high gloss American walnut stock is enhanced by a distinctive black forend cap.

The Remington 700 series of rifles comes in many different variations. Rifle packages can be in right- or left- hand configurations. Rifles like the Remington 700 are known as push-feed actions because they only hook the extractor onto a cartridge as it is fully seated in the chamber.

The Remington 700 comes in standard consumer versions as well as versions designed for military and police use. Some variants come with bipods , slings and other accessories.

The Remington 700 VS is a well-balanced, accurate rifle capable of sustained precision fire on targets of the smallest size. As a police sniper weapon, it can allow a department with modest funds the means to equip its sharpshooters with reliable, well-made precision tools. The Remington 700 is what commercial rifles are compared to and a lot of other rifles as well. The only servicing you need to do is cleaning. The Remington 700 comes in standard consumer versions as well as versions designed for military and police use.

The Remington 700 LTR has been available in a few forms for a few years now. It’s a custom shop version of the standard Remington 700 with a 20″ fluted barrel, hinged floorplate magazine and an H-S Precision black fiberglass stock for that oh so tactical look.

The Remington 700 Safari KS features a rugged fiberglass stock, which is reinforced with aramid fiber for unvarying stability. Each custom barreled action is carefully bedded to the stock for consistent, shot-to-shot accuracy.

The Remington 700 Custom KS Mountain rifle breaks the rule for traditionally heavy big game rifles. The aramid fiber reinforced fiberglass stock is lighter than wood, yet rugged enough to absorb the punishment of severe weather and hard use.

The Remington 700 action is a great platform for any custom rifle. If you are intent on using a Remington barrel then I would recommend a 700 PSS (Police Sharp Shooter) as your base gun.

The Remington 700 still has one of the best factory triggers available—but not because they are good out of the box. As a rule, they are not. This is soon to change with the new X-Trigger. The new trigger will be great right out of the box.

Remington does issue their rifles with a build up pressure point in the front right tip of the stock. Remington 700’s are great rifles, the CDL SF should be a very fine shooter. I have six 700’s myself and have fired several dozens more and never shot one that was in-accurate or un-reliable.
