Reloading

One of my favorite things to do besides shooting my guns is to reload. I don’t care if it’s my .221 Fireball, my .416 Remington Magnum, or one of my guns that fall in between, I enjoy the time spent reloading. Reloading is a great way to expand your knowledge as well as your experiences with shooting.
Reloading also eases the pinch on my wallet. Ever price a box of .416 Remington Magnum or a box of .470 Nitro? How about figuring the cost of a day of shooting prairie dogs or gophers with a 221 Fireball or a .220 Swift? This is where reloading makes economical sense. The savings for expensive rounds or high volume shooting can be tremendous. I can reload a box of .221 Fireball for about $5.00 compared to about $16.00 for a factory box. A box of factory .416 Remington Magnum will set you back about $85.00, yet I can load a box for $25.00 or less. With the rising cost of brass, lead, and factory rounds, it just makes sense to reload. Reloading can be a great hobby and for me a stress reliever. I enjoy the time at me reloading bench.
Reloading also gives me the advantage of tailoring my loads to my gun and the shooting that will be done. Try to find .221 Fireball ammo loaded with Barnes Varmint Grenade bullets or 8mm Remington Magnum Rounds loaded with a 250 grain bullet. By reloading I can do just that.
There are many sources for reloading supplies and one of my favorites is Midway USA. Midway is a huge reloading store that you can order from online. Midway carries just about anything a reloader could want and a few things that aren’t part of reloading, but are apart of shooting and hunting. Larry Potterfield and his crew do a great job of keeping supplies on hand and getting your order to you quickly. Midway is usually me first stop when looking for my hard to find brass like 8mm Remington Magnum or .221 Fireball. How about a 395 grain cast bullet for a .454 Casull? Midway has these reloading components and many many more. Take a look around their website and you may be surprised at what you find. Reloading can be a fun way for you to spend time with your family, or a great way to have some alone time.
