Ruger Firearms

Ruger firearms make up the largest single maker of guns in the Unites States. Their range of products  include Center fire rifles, Rim fire rifles, Center fire pistols, Rim fire pistols, Single action revolvers, Double action revolvers and sub-machine guns in several models and configurations. The Ruger M 77 Mark II rifle is based on a  version of the Mauser 98 with its controlled round feed action.

Ruger rifles are known for their rugged reliability, handsome style, unique design features, and represent the best value in rifles today.

Ruger firearms are known for having some of the toughest steel in the firearms industry. It is nearly impossible to produce the fine engraving without first softening the metal. Ruger is well known for its rifles, shotguns, revolvers, and pistols. Remarkably Bill Ruger took his firearms from an experiment to a top selling firearms company.Ruger’s rise to its present well-earned position has made it a respected company on the New York Stock Exchange since 1990. In 1997 alone, Ruger produced more than 600,000 firearms for hunting, target-shooting, collecting, self-defense, law enforcement and the armed forces.

Ruger continues to experiment and change hteir designs. Ruger’s long-anticipated striker-fired pistol is finally here! The polymer-frame SR9 semiauto 9mm represents an entirely new design platform for Ruger pistols, and gives Ruger a product that will be a strong competitor for existing powerhouse firearms in the personal defense and law-enforcement markets such as the Glock, S&W M&P, Taurus 24/7, and Springfield XD.

Ruger produces a variety of gun s for the commercial and law enforcement markets. Many of their most popular models are for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge and its variants, include the Ruger Mark III, the 10/22 semiautomatic rifle, and the Single Six single action revolver . Early on Ruger had issues with the quality of their barrels.  Ruger addressed this problem in the early 2000’s by producing their own hammer-forged barrels. Prior to this, they procured barrels from various manufacturers and have admitted that the quality was not as good as what they are now producing.

If you haven’t tried a Ruger Firearm, do yourself a favor and go shoot one. I absolutely love the single action revolvers Ruger is producing. Happy shooting!
